The much-anticipated release of the "GTA V Online" 1.18 update is said to be available by the end of October. Likewise, it is believed to contain the widely rumoured zombie DLC.

Rockstar Games has yet to officially announce the release date for the "GTA V Online" 1.18 update. Likewise, the inclusion of a zombie DLC in the patch is pending the developer's confirmation. However, Product-reviews seems certain that the update will be available on the eve of Oct. 31. Additionally, that it would also contain the much-speculated "undead" feature to celebrate Halloween.

"It is almost a foregone conclusion that Rockstar will give a Halloween update for GTA V, they always do each year with their games that are relevant - in this case it's GTA V," writer Alan Ng said.

Chinatopix adds Rockstar Games was able to release the "Undead Nightmare" feature in the previous Halloween for "Red Dead Redemption." The developers have likewise released multiple holiday-related DLCs for "GTA V Online." Rockstar released "The Independence Day Special" in July to commemorate American Independence. So it's believed Halloween would also get its own content featured in the game.

The release of the 1.18 update may supposedly be announced at the last minute. Rockstar reportedly usually holds off any new DLC releases at the last minute to surprise gamers. However, there's only a mere three days left until Halloween. Typically, any new updates for "GTA V Online" are released on a Tuesday, according to Chinatopix. So Oct. 28 was believed to have been the much-anticipated date. But then there's supposedly also the possibility the 1.18 update could be released on a Thursday much like the 1.17 patch. According to PR, Rockstar went against its usual Tuesday-release protocol when the "Last Team Standing" update was made available on a Thursday, on Oct. 9.

Rockstar Games has yet to formally confirm the inclusion of the zombie DLC in the 1.18 update. However, it's reportedly very likely to be in the patch. According to Product-reviews gamers were able to spot a source code that pertains to the undead. This code supposedly hinted of a single-player mode for the zombie DLC in "GTA V Online." Likewise, the latest trailer for the PS4 version of "Grand Theft Auto V" also featured a zombie, further fueling speculations of the Halloween-related DLC. (See 0:28 time mark at the video below).
