The popular internet meme Grumpy Cat, which claim to fame is its grumpy facial expression, proved his charmer than Australia's most favourite TV host Karl Stefanovic during an interview at The Nine Network's breakfast show, Today.

Karl has more than 15 years experience in television and had build his credibility with his previous stints as a TV Journalist in America, New Zealand and Australia. He had nailed all his famous coverage of top world events like tsunami in Japan, the Bali Bombings, funerals of Ronald Reagan, Ray Charles and Marlon Brando and the Oscars and the Golden Globes.

But even with his years of experience in broadcasting, Grumpy Cat had totally made Karl hysterical, laughing his wits out.

Karl admitted that he found the interview pretty challenging.

"This was never going to be an easy task - interviewing something that doesn't speak," Karl said.

Karl then tried to pacify Grumpy Cat through asking questions highlighting its popularity and fame, but grumpy cat remained straight-faced. Karl then asked if Monday was its favourite day of the week, Grumpy Cat remained deadpan. Karl continued to pacify it asking about its famous book, but to no avail.

Karl finally got a reaction from Grumpy Cat when he finally asked it about its view on Australia's most controversial politicians, Mr Rudd and Mr Abbot.

Grumpy Cat snubbed Mr Rudd with its famous frown shifting to apathetic head lift and abrupt snapping of its head to the right.

As for Mr Abbott, Grumpy Cat had a bigger reaction much to Karl's total amusement. Grumpy Cat looked down upon hearing Mr Abbott's name, then it squinted its eyes and grimace all the more.

By then Karl loses self control, fell back in his chair and tried his best to speak in between laughs.

"Look at that cat, look at that cat. She looks like Jabba the Hutt," Karl almost fainted.

It seemed like grumpy Cat did it again, stepping up his popularity notches higher with its latest antic on the Today show.

Grumpy Cat's popularity seemed unstoppable. Earlier in August, Grumpy Cat had just become the face of the Grumpy Cat Grumpuccino.

Grumpy Cat, also, now has a Meme Manager in the name of Ben Lashes. Mr Lashes takes care of Grumpy cat's meme in relation with its domain, copyrights and trademarks.
