'Grim' season 6 episode 9 spoilers

NBC occult drama series “Grimm” is currently running its sixth season. Episode 9 of season 6, titled the “Tree People,” will follow the team as it deals with tree-like creatures assumed to be dangerous toward humans.

According to recent spoilers, Nick (David Giuntoli), Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) will be seen investigating in a crime scene. The trio talk to a man who claims that his friend has been eaten by a tree-like creature. Elsewhere, Capt Renard (Sasha Roiz) continues to investigate Diana’s (Hannah R Loyd) weird drawings.

In the last episode, Renard contacted a Siberian woman to decipher Diana’s drawings. The etchings frightened the woman, who then warned Renard against an oncoming mishap. Renard, who knew Diana holds special powers beforehand, was keft baffled by the woman's revelations about the Portland mayor’s daughter.

Going by the promo, the “tree people” will be revealed to have a very peculiar manner of attacking their prey. The creatures use long and powerful branches and roots of trees to capture humans before they devour them alive. In one of the scenes, spice shop owner Rosalee Calvert (Bree Turner), along with her husband Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), is seen facing the so-called “tree people.” Per the official synopsis on TV Guide, “Grimm” season 6 episode 9 will also show “the gang learning of Eve's (Bitsie Tulloch) disturbing mirror encounter, which leads everyone to take extra precautions.”

Bree Turner reveals in an interview her take on the "Tree People." “In 'Tree People' ... our creature ... is one of our best practical effect creatures that we've had on the series,” the actress told Blastr, talking on episode 9.

“There was no imagination that needed to be happening, like this guy was really chasing us and we were really in the woods and it was really freaky,” Turned added. “That episode coming up was just a highlight for me on the show in the last six years of just how lucky we are to do what we get to do,” she said further.

“Grimm” season 6 episode 9 is slated for a release on March 3 on NBC in the US. The next episode, titled “Blood Magic,” will be airing on March 10. Watch “Grimm” season 6 in Australia exclusively on Foxtel.
