“Grimm” Season 4 finale will air on May 15 on NBC. The penultimate episode on Friday brings Nick (David Giuntoli) to a whole new level of wrath toward the evil royals and Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch). “I’d say the events that take place in Nick’s life, in probably the last five episodes, are as momentous as him finding out that he’s a Grimm. These are the biggest cliffhangers we will have ever had on the show, and there’s going to be about three of them,” Giuntoli told Entertainment Weekly weeks before the “Grimm” Season 4 penultimate episode aired on NBC.

Kelly Burkhardt (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) dies in “Grimm” Season 4, episode 21. Juliette does not engage in a fight with Nick’s mother; she listens to the fight from the upstairs of the Burkhardts’ home. Earlier in the episode, Juliette almost kills Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) by controlling Nick and his gun.

In the previous episodes, Giuntoli tried to win Juliette back by telling her he still loved her. Adalind (Claire Coffee) even concocted a “suppression” potion which contained her own mother’s remains (as necessary ingredients). Nothing worked; Juliette has teamed up with dark royals and sealed the deal by sleeping with Prince Kenneth (Nico Evers-Swindell).

Kelly’s death in “Grimm” Season 4, episode 21 and the plot development in which baby Diana is now with the royals are the twin cliffhangers of the penultimate show. These plot lines give viewers ideas as to what happens in the finale.

Meanwhile, some fans have complained about the Kelly’s death on Twitter. “Grimm” writers responded by saying they have no say in the scheduling of the episodes. See the writers’ tweet below.

The finale episode of “Grimm” Season 4 will air on May 15 on NBC. Titled “Cry Havoc,” the season ender was written by series creators Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf together with actor and writer Thomas Ian Griffith. It was directed by “Grimm” executive producer Norberto Barba.
