Several top tennis players confirmed participation at the joint ATP and WTA event in Acapulco in February according to The Tennis World. Former world's no. 3 David Ferrer, world's no. 7 Kei Nishikori, former U.S. Open champion Juan Martin del Potro and rumoured couple Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov confirmed their presence for the joint event.

In 2014, Dimitrov won the title beating South African Kevin Anderson in men's singles while Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova took home the title and defeated the American Christina McHale.

The tennis couple Sharapova and Dimitrov are also set to take part in the Brisbane International in preparation for the Australian Open in January with Lleyton Hewitt, Sam Stosur, Marin Cilic, Kei Nishikori and Roger Federer.

The five-time Grand Slam champion 27-year-old Russian will kick off 2015 at the tournament to be held at Pat Rafter Arena from January 4-11. "Brisbane is such a great tournament, I've tried to make it so many years and I finally made it in 2014 and it was such a great experience," said the Russian tennis superstar.

Former world's no. 1 and Australia's defending champion, Hewitt will return to the competition to defend his competition and win back-to-back titles after his previous victory against the world's no. 3 Roger Federer. The 33-year-old Hewitt claimed that he really enjoyed his time in Brisbane early this year and it is such a great tournament with strong line-up of players. The Australian Open 2015 takes place in Melbourne from January 19 to February 1.

Meanwhile, tennis' royal couple Sharapova and Dimitrov, who confirmed that they will travel and start the next season together, have dismissed the break-up rumours as they were seen together at the joint ATP and WTA event at the Beijing China Open.

When Sharapova was asked about her romance with the Bulgarian during her press conference in Beijing, she replied that everything was great between them. She even thanked the reporter for his concern on her relationship with the Bulgarian. On the other hand, Dimitrov also had a fair share of squashing the break-up rumours by watching Sharapova's games at the China Open.
