Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes kept mum about the fate of Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) weeks before the Season 9 premiere. After two episodes, fans are hardly complacent when it comes to the Arizona situation. Her depression at the final act of the season premiere is alarming. Does she stay alive throughout this season?

Spoiler Alert: The following text contains spoilers for those who have not seen Grey's Anatomy Season 9 premiere.

A number of horrible things have happened to Arizona Robbins from last season's tragic plane crash up to the point when Karev cut her leg off. At the season premiere, fans saw a darker version of Robbins when Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) asked her to "snap out of it." She clearly blames Callie for her broken promise.

On the second episode, it appears Callie had no choice. It was either Arizona's leg or her life entirely. Fans wait for the episode in which Arizona will finally be able to piece herself together again.

Well, there will be no fresh development this week. ABC will be airing the U.S. Vice Presidential Debates from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ET/PT in lieu of Grey's Anatomy. But Rhimes gives hope to the fans of Callie and Arizona.

In her blog, Rhimes tells the fans, "Callie and Arizona are going to have a fun romance-y, sexy love life again."

"Arizona could not lose a leg unless we were going to see how a person missing a leg could be sexy and fun and romance-y. So get ready for it - Arizona is gonna get her mojo back in a BIG WAY," Rhimes continued.

Now that statement is filled with optimism. But if that is not enough, fans can take a look at the recently released publicity photo for Grey's Anatomy Season 9. The cast photo is missing Sloan (fans know why), but Arizona is right there, alive and smiling.
