Many fans would agree that the past season of “Grey’s Anatomy” was one of the most emotional seasons to date, especially for Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew). Though they didn’t lose their baby, the two unfortunately lost each other over time, which led to them getting divorced. They have another child, but they are trying to co-parent and also living their own lives and figuring out how to get along.

Fans might be in store for happier times ahead. Jackson and April’s story will explore “in a much lighter way, what it means to be uncoupled, to be divorced, and to have a kid, and how you do that? They’re going to really try to do this in a healthy way, and is that healthy way going to feel so healthy when they still have feelings for each other?” executive producer Shonda Rhimes told Entertainment Weekly.

On the other hand, season 12 saw quite a sad turn for Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo’s (Camilla Luddington) relationship. It showed Jo revealing her true identity and that she had hidden it because of her abusive husband. This obviously brought complications in their relationship with Alex denying to get married to Jo. The final episode of season 12 showed the two having a heated argument because of this.

Actress Caterina Scorsone said that there may be a drama with the storyline involving Jo and Alex. She has a feeling that that this storyline will get its prominence for some time in “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13.

Christina Yang, played by Sandra Oh, is among the most favourite characters amongst fans and they cannot wait to see her back in the medical drama. It seems now their wish will be soon granted. Season 13 might see the comeback of Christina.

The premiere episode of season 13 is titled "Undo," which fans speculate hints towards the breaking apart of Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia’s (Caterina Scorsone) marriage due to the return of Christina Yang. Though Rhimes has been largely quiet about this topic, fans can only hope to see their favourite character back.
