Grey's Anatomy Season 10 spoilers are heating up as September approaches. The new season premiere will start from where the series left off in May's finale. But after this season, one favourite character from the Calzona, Crowen and Jolex couples is leaving the show.

Creator Shonda Rhimes has hinted in separate interviews that Grey's Anatomy Season 10 is not likely to be the last of the series. However, Patrick Dempsey has expressed a hint of exhaustion from playing Derek Shepherd. And now Sandra Oh has announced she's out after the tenth season. What happens next to Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt of Crowen?

Crowen joins Calzona, Jolex, Merder and Japril couples among the most followed stories among Grey's fans. Last season, viewers saw Yang and Hunt struggle with the fact that they are still on different life paths. A permanent break-up seems imminent for the two.

"Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go," Sandra Oh tells The Hollywood Reporter. The actress feels that Cristina "wants to be let go, and I am ready to let her go. We have to start the process, story-wise, for the Grey's writers to think of why she's going to go."

Sandra Oh is one of the six remaining original cast of Grey's Anatomy. Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens, Jr. make the rest of the six. Incidentally, the life of Pickens' character Chief Webber hangs in the balance in the final act of Season 9.

Meredith's "person," Cristina, is one of the most beloved characters in the series from Season 1. Her epic wedding flop in the Season 3 finale (with Preston Burke) is one of the most unforgettable moments in Grey's history.

Cristina Yang's storyline, according to Grey's Anatomy Season 10 spoilers, includes being a matchmaker to ex-husband Owen Hunt. The two rekindled their romance post-divorce, until Owen got so close to adopting a child.

Prior to Oh's announcement, Shonda Rhimes said in an interview Cristina will not get pregnant just to save her relationship with Owen. Grey's Anatomy Season 10 will see this through before Yang departs for good.
