“Grand Theft Auto 5” is arguably one of Rockstar Games’ most popular and most successful titles of if generation. Despite more than three years in the market, the game continues to be a profitable investment for the game developer, and its updates keep players in front of their screens.

Rockstar Games has just confirmed its Festive Surprise 2016 event for “Grand Theft Auto 5,” as well as a Christmas special for “Grand Theft Auto Online.” The update includes free holiday-themed clothes, such as jumpers, and new Santa and Gingerbread Man-themed masks. GameSpot has also reported that there is a possible increase of $50,000 in rewards when selling vehicles from the recent Import/Export update.

Furthermore, Rockstar Games included four new cars into the mix. According to WWG, the Hot Rod Christmas Ratloader, Slam Van, Massacro sports car and Jester sports car are available for acquisition. The publication also claims that the vehicles can be kept even after the holiday season.

And while these items will be relatively easy to access when the update is installed, “Grand Theft Auto 5” players will need to keep their eyes out for Holiday Special Crate Drops, which will stop after Jan. 5, 2017. Included in the drops are some special and rare items including vintage GTA shirts. However, all players should take some time to check their inventory on Christmas day, as Rockstar is expected to provide some extra gifts.

On the other hand, “Grand Theft Auto Online” will see the return of previous Christmas events, including Firework Launcher. It will be available from Christmas eve until Jan. 5. The update will also trigger a incredibly rare instance for San Andreas -- snowfall. And while the environment will allow for snowball fights, it will also make roads icy and slightly more difficult to maneuver on.
