“Stay With Me” hit-maker Sam Smith and “All Of Me” hit-maker John Legend has recently teamed up for a charitable cause. The two award-winning musicians recorded a duet version of Smith’s “Lay Me Down” from his “In The Lonely Hour” album.

Now available on all digital retailers, the Grammy winner and the Oscar winner’s “Lay Me Down” track will be the official single of the biennial event Red Nose Day, in which residents don clown noses to help raise awareness and funds for the United Kingdom-based charity Comic Relief.

All royalties from the track and all profits will be donated to Comic Relief. According to Smith, “Lay Me Down” holds a very special place in his heart and he is extremely proud that it will help raise money for Comic Relief, which supports the young LGBT community in London.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Smith revealed that as a teenager when he had not come out as gay, he was a victim of homophobic bullying. He said, “It was actually the denying of being gay that was getting me bullied.”

Smith and Legend are set to perform “Lay Me Down” for the first and only time at the “Comic Relief- Face The Funny” special on March 13 at London's Palladium. They also recorded a video for their collaboration with images from some of Comic Relief’s beneficiaries in Africa. Watch it here:
