The little sprout has grown faster than a weed as “Gotham” will be reintroducing Poison Ivy on Season 3. The character will be aged after a face off with a monster from Indian Hill. The little girl will now be a young woman with full control of her superpowers.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Gotham” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.

Recently, the character was introduced as a seductive and mysterious redhead. Now, a new image shows a tamer side of the Ivy Pepper as a grown-up woman. She is shown tending to her plants while sporting that signature ragged sweater that viewers have been seeing her in. After Clare Foley, Maggie Geha will be taking over the role of Ivy Pepper as an adult.

More details were shared with the new image, which included a lot of interesting details about the revamped Poison Ivy. Executive producer John Stevens referred to the character as a “big girl,” writes TV Insider.

The character who she escaped from in Indian Hill has the ability to age people at will. Sometimes, the creature does this until the person dies but, at most times, she does not complete the aging process. Stephens appears very pleased with Geha’s performance. However, it is still unclear at this point how Poison Ivy’s new and grown up mentality will be.

It is worth wondering if the newly-aged Poison Ivy will be reinvented into a strong and mature one which has been seen in previous Batman movies. Another thing that could happen is that the sudden transformation will rattle her bad enough to give her a difficult time tackling how to go about her sudden puberty in an identity crisis.

Aside from Poison Ivy aging too quickly, Danny Cannon has shared on Twitter some promotional items that hint at a Sirens team-up. The Sirens have been featured in a comic book, with main characters consisting of Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Catwoman. The photo tweeted, however, showed Tabitha, Barbara, Catwoman and the gorgeous and grown up Poison Ivy.

Earlier, it has also been teased that Harley Quinn could be making an appearance in “Gotham.” If she does, she is very likely to be in this new group. The team up will be based in a night club.

“Gotham” season 3 returns to TV screens on September 19, 2016 on the FOX Channel. It also airs on Syfy in Australia.
