Gotham’s Ivy Pepper will be a full grown woman when she gets revealed on Monday’s episode.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Gotham” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs

In describing the abrupt aging process, Maggie Geha who was taken over the role, says that the changes to her are not just physical but the more significant changes are those that have happened on the inside. As she has blossomed into a young woman, she now has a new confidence to her as the transformation brings out her manipulative and evil side, reports TV Line.

This sudden change brings about a lot of confusion on her part as she does not fully understand how she came to be, just like all adolescents except her adolescence was way faster. She will not even recognize her own face in the beginning and will wonder if everything is just a dream, but later embrace her new self as a woman.

While she will grow to love most of the changes, there is one thing that she will hate – her long time pal Selina, who she believes left her with Fish’s gang. Ivy does not have any idea that Selina chased after her and actually tried to help so she feels very alone during that traumatic experience. So Ivy wakes up feeling betrayed and pissed off that her best friend left her.

Selina, on the other hand, will also feel betrayed by one of her former best friends. It is explained that Selina thought that Ivy died, and that it was her fault, so it is a wholly different thing for her to come back to life and not reveal how that happened.

Penguin, played by Robin Lord Taylor, will have his relationship with Ed Nygma deepen since he no longer has a family to come home to. Regarding this, executive producer John Stephens explained that Penguin and Nygma will really work together as a duo for the first time since they will use one another for their interests.

The third season of “Gotham” will premiere on September 26 Monday at 8PM on FOX.
