With the 19 nominations that "Game of Thrones" received during the recent Emmy Nominations, GoT fans get more excited for a movie that they talk about it on the social media site Twitter. But more than the eager fans, it's George R.R. Martin who wants the movie badly, according to a report.

According to an article from MTV, "A Song of Ice and Fire" author George R.R. Martin reiterated his desire to wrap up the HBO series on its seventh or eightth season during his presence at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival. He also explicitly stated that he wanted to come out with a big budget feature film which will cost around $200 million as a grand way to end the fan-favourite book adaptation.

The author whom MTV referred as "the mad man responsible for murdering all the favourite characters" is still writing the sixth book of the series entitled "The Winds of Winter" from where the HBO series was adapted. The Web site cited that the author wanted the film so "badly" so that he can buy time to finish the books before the action pack and fast-moving HBO series adaption of "Game of Thrones" could overtake him.

Moreover, MTV also cited Martin's reference to the high cost (as in millions of dollars) of producing the "Game of Thrones" every season. Besides, the focal point of the HBO series has been the political drama and astonishing character twists and turns not the massive battles and war scenes which were contained only in the "Blackwater" and "The Watchers on the Wall."

So why does George R.R. Martin wanted the "Game of Thrones" movie so "badly"?

"Maybe it's because he plans to blow the whole damn thing up," MTV reported.

But whatever the author's reasons may be for coming up with a "Game of Thrones" movie, fans are just so eager to look forward to it. One Twitter user ‏@SezpaDezpa stated: "Game of Thrones-movie? Damn, that sounds awesome. I hope this is gonna happen." Another user @Fire_powR posted that he will watch the movie. Still another user @obit_rice would eagerly hand in his dollars for a "Game of Thrones" movie even late at night.

HBO's "Game of Thrones" led the drama category in the recently announced Emmy Nominations.
