Google's Nexus 5X has already reached the market, and critics took it upon themselves to test the device's battery. Considering that the handset was launched alongside the Nexus 6P, the Nexus 5X's battery is being compared with that of the Huawei-made device.

Both smartphones were launched in late September, and both of them were the first units to come out with pre-installed Android 6.0 Marshmallow, according to Tech Times. With regards to their battery features though, it appears that Nexus 5X is better than the other model.

The Nexus 5X is packed with a 2,700 mAh battery, which lasted for six hours and 25 minutes. The Huawei-made Nexus 6P, meanwhile, has a 3,450 mAh battery which lasted for six hours and 24 minutes. Although the Nexus 5X's battery testing result is only relatively average, it must be noted that the device's battery has less mAh than Nexus 6P's battery, as Phone Arena has pointed out.

"Get almost four hours of use after only ten minutes of charging," the Google's official Web page for the Nexus 5X states. That said, it is reported that the device's USB Type-C port has largely helped in charging the battery more quickly than usual.

The Nexus 5X also boasts improved features compared with its original model, which is the Nexus 5, the flagship Nexus device that was launched in October 2013. The former boasts a 5.2-inch screen display, while the latter sports a much smaller 5-inch screen and a 2,300 mAh battery.

The battery score of the Nexus 5X is also at par with the One M9 from HTC but is several levels below the iPhone 6S, which lasted for eight hours and 15 minutes. The Huawei P8 and Samsung Galaxy S6 also got better results than the Nexus 5X, which were seven hours and 12 minutes and seven hours and 14 minutes, respectively.
