"Google Project Ara" is an open hardware platform/device that seeks to create a structural frame base that can hold any desired choice of smartphone modules. It can be processor chips, display screens, keyboards, camera lenses, and more. Project Ara invites the online community to watch day two of its Developers Conference live Wednesday 12 p.m. ET April 16.

Project Ara has planned three Developers Conferences for year 2014, two of which takes place April 15 and 16. The conference will tackle the release of Ara's Module Developers Kit (MDK). MDK is a free and open platform for developers to know everything necessary about the project. According to projectara.com, they intend and expect MDK to be released online this month of April.

There already are planned dates for the next "DevCon", should most curious viewers and attendees miss April 16, or just want to know more about the project. "Paul Eremenko, head of Project Ara, said two more developers conferences are planned for July and September of this year, and the first smartphones are expected to ship next January.", reported by Karissa Bell of Mashable.com.

"This early alpha release of the MDK relies on a prototype implementation of the Ara on-device network using the MIPI UniPro protocol implemented on FPGA and running over an LVDS physical layer.", stated in Project Ara's MDK specifics from the official website.

The live streaming of the Developers Conference will show everyone fore-planned features for the Ara platform. DevCon will have feedback sessions for Alpha MDK, and even promises module developers a series of prize challenges.

Project Ara's Developers Conference again invites for a live webstream module developers, gadget enthusiasts, and almost anyone curious about its latest mobile technology.

The Conference's Agenda can be viewed on Project Ara's official website.
