The Google Nexus 8 is for real as another solid proof surfaced this week that appears to confirm the stock Android tablet's maker, its mighty processing chip and the device's nearing release date - likely anytime this September 2014.

According to Bright Side of News, the upcoming Nexus 7 replacement is indeed the product of the collaboration between Google and HTC but there is a third key player in the equation - chipmaker NVIDIA that the report said is the source of the leak.

Apparently, the tech blog site stumbled upon a legal document that mainly talks about NVDIA's copyright infringement case against Samsung and Qualcomm. It turned out that in the same paper, the chipmaker not only presented its legal arguments but also made surprising revelations - three in all.

First, the paper stated that once it is out of the box Google's flagship tablet will retail as the HTC Nexus 9, the name due to its 8.9-inch screen profile.

Seemingly, this confirmed the long-running chatter that the HTC One M8 maker has been anointed by Google to manufacture the device, which is touted as the chief rival of Apple's upcoming iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.

And as expected, the NVIDIA document declared too that a Tegra K1 processor will power the Nexus 9. This statement aligns with an earlier statement from the company that unveiled the same chip though in 64-bit class and dual-core configuration.

Dubbed as Project Denver, Tegra K1 is driving up excitement in the Android sphere due to its powerful mobile processing capabilities with emphasis on energy efficient use. With the NVIDIA chip firing up the next Nexus tablet, users are reportedly assured of nearly unlimited computing power plus extended operating hours.

Lastly, the NVIDIA doc claimed that the "HTC Nexus 9 ... is expected in the third quarter of 2014," which essentially revealed a rollout date anytime this month as September is the last month of the current quarter.

Admittedly, there is no way to tell if the statements made are confirmed as both Google and HTC remain silent on the matter.

However, the Nexus 8 has long been the subject of persistent speculations that most of its specs and features are known to Android fans. The tab is rumoured to showcase a near 9-inch front panel that will boast of a 2048 x 1440 screen resolution.

The device's NVIDIA CPU is said to work with up to 3GB of RAM while the internal storage is set to start at 32GB.

On release date, the Nexus 8 or 9 will showcase the raw power of Google's forthcoming mobile operating system, Android 5.0 - that according to reports will be known as Lemon Meringue Pie or Android L for Lion.
