Google Nexus 7 2016 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 are two highly-anticipated devices that are expected to sport the best of specs. Speculations suggest that of the two, the Galaxy Tab S3 may come out as more budget-friendly whereas Nexus 7 2016 could be a high-end purchase.

Apart from sporting excellent processors, internal storage capacities and big displays, the two are expected to sport some never-seen-before features. However, that only time will tell.

Google may drop its “Nexus” branding in favour of “Pixel.” Google Nexus 7 will be made available in two variants, Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. Earlier they were being called Nexus Sailfish and Nexus Marlin. Now “Pixel” seems to be the favoured choice.

As per Mobile & Apps, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 may also be launched in two variants that will have curved-edged chassis and different screen sizes. The variants will have screen sizes of 8-inch and 9.7-inch. They will have an AMOLED panel and support 4K tech. There will be two internal storage options of 32GB and 64GB, 4GB RAM and octa-core Exynos 8890 processor.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 may sport an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. The 8-inch Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to have a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh whereas the 9.7-inch variant could sport a 5,870 mAh battery, writes Nashville Chatter.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 may run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system that can be upgraded to the Android 7.0 Nougat system. The Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to be priced at US$420 (AU$557).

On the other hand, the Google Nexus 7 2016 will have a 7-inch screen and Quad AMOLED display panel. The Google Pixel and Pixel XL will have screen resolutions of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 2560 x 1600 pixels, writes TELEGIZ.

The Google Nexus 7 2016 may sport 64GB of internal storage, 4GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipsets. There will be a 13MP rear camera with some top-class specs though nothing is known about its front shooter. It will have a mega battery capacity of 5,100 mAh and run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Both Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and Google Nexus 7 2016 will support USB Type-C connectivity for super-fast data transfer and charging. Not much is known about the latter’s price.
