The upcoming Google Nexus 6 is receiving plenty of excitement with lots of online tech sources following the news of the smartphone. While the Nexus 5 made by the Korean manufacturer LG Electronics is still a hot gadget in the market, leaks of Nexus 6 is creating a buzz, arising speculations regarding its features, specifications, and release date.

In a report from GottaBeMobile, details of Nexus 5's successor have leaked again pointing out that if these were true, there is a huge possibility that the Nexus 6 will be the last of Google's Nexus roster of devices.

Speculations suggest that the new Nexus 6 will primarily be formed out of LG's G3 model, an LG device set to be released in the market in Q2 of 2014. Also, the Nexus 6 is touted to be lesser version of the latest LG flagship in terms of features, and that it will come sometime in July.

An Earlier Release for Google Nexus 6?

The July release date of Nexus 6 is something new for the Google powered device. New Nexus gadgets are often introduced in October and scheduled for November release to jive with the holiday season where most of consumers would consider shopping for a new phone.

A previous report from The International Business Times gave a sneak peak of the possible specifications of the upcoming Nexus 6. Rumours suggest that the smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch screen and will run with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset. A 12 MP camera may also be expected alongside a 2 GB of RAM.

A Lesser Counterpart of LG G3?

The often credible source Android Geek said that the upcoming Nexus 6 will be based on LG G3 which is set to arrive weeks from now. Furthermore, the device will also feature a fingerprint sensor that is already highlighted in other flagship phones such as Apple's iPhone 5 and Samsung's Galaxy S5.

There were no confirmation on how Nexus will implement the sensor technology. GottaBeMobile says that if the fingerprint sensor is embedded inside the gadget, it offers additional security and convenience among users.

Nexus to be Phased Out to Give Way on the Rise of the "Android Silver"

The Google Nexus series has been commended for providing the best Android experience for it users, but a report by The Information suggests that it will not take too long for the gadget to be replaced with a new name and program as Google gears to develop better Android devices to compete with the dominating brands, Samsung and Apple.

In replacement of the Google Nexus is the "Android Silver." There are no further reports when "Silver" will be released, but it sounds a promising addition to Google's innovative products.
