Google had replaced the older Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 smartphones with the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X in October last year. In a bid to finish the existing stocks of the older Nexus models, retailers are consistently offering massive discounts on both Nexus models. Now, the unlocked edition of Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 are discounted by $300 (AU$416) on Amazon.

Google Nexus 6

The unlocked 32 GB Nexus 6 model is now available for only $349 (AU$484) on Amazon after a discount of $300 (AU$416). The usual price of the Motorola Nexus 6 is $649 (AU$900). It is only available in Midnight Blue colour. The smartphone will only work on GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile. It will not work CDMA carriers of such as Sprint and Verizon.

The Nexus 6 comes with a 5.96-inch Quad HD screen, a Snapdragon 805 SoC and 3 GB of RAM. It also features include 13 MP OIS enabled camera and 3,220 mAh battery.

Google Nexus 5

The all new Nexus 5X is an upgraded version of the Nexus 5 that came out in 2013. The LG Nexus 5 is considered to be the most popular Nexus smartphone ever.

The unlocked 16 GB Nexus 5 in white colour is priced at $189 (AU$262) with the retailer giant after a massive price cut of $300 (AU$416). The regular price of the Nexus 5 is $499. The LG Nexus 5 will work on AT&T and T-Mobile GSM carriers but it won’t support CDMA providers like Verizon and Sprint.

The Nexus 5 comes with a 4.95-inch full HD display, a Snapdragon 800 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. Other specs include 8 MP rear camera with OIS, 1.3 MP selfie camera, and 2300 mAh battery.

Even though both the smartphones have now become old, they are one of the first devices to receive the latest Android build. Currently, the Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 smartphones are both running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
