The Google Nexus 5 release date will be soon, with Google and LG working on the device.

Based on latest rumours, LG Electronics was working on the much-awaited Google Nexus 5.

There were proofs that LG is developing the Google Nexus 5. One of these proofs was the alleged meeting between the CEOs of LG and Google. Early last May, Google's Chief Larry Page met with LG CEO Koo Bon-joon in Seoul, South Korea.

Another proof that LG was working on the device to meet the rumoured Google Nexus 5 release date is the clarification made by LG, saying that the statement from LG Mobile in Europe by Won Kim is a mistranslation or misinterpreted by the media.

"The Nexus 4 was a great success despite the production problems for us and Google. However we do not need such a marketing success again," went the statement in question.

However, there were also contradicting reports saying that the Google Nexus 5 release date will be delayed, as Google is still searching for a company to manufacture the next Nexus smartphone. Reports claimed that Google will no longer be teaming up with LG Electronics in making the successor of the popular LG Nexus 4 smartphone. Reports also claimed that Google is eyeing new companies to help it launch the device before the rumoured Google Nexus 5 release date.

Rumours claimed that the Google Nexus 5 will include a 5-inch Full HD screen display, an eight-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 13 MP rear camera, 3300 mAh battery capacity and the latest Android OS.

The handset was rumoured to be available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants and will support 4G/LTE connectivity, which was missing in the Nexus 4.

The Google Nexus 5 release date was expected to be sometime around October and November in order to maximize full profits of LG Nexus 4.
