Two killer offerings of the Google Nexus 2015 smartphone on release date have been previewed when the LG G4 specs and features were officially unveiled. What the vanilla Android flagship will bring to table later this 2015 is mostly based on the rumour that LG will build the next Nexus handset.

If the speculations prove real then the G4 will later be repurposed as replacement for the Motorola Nexus 6. Like in the previous years, not everything that the G4 has presented will make the final cut as Google will surely pattern the Nexus 2015 to its liking and vision. Two feature upgrades, however, are virtual shoo-ins:

Stunning display

LG has been highlighting the Quad HD display that came with the G4, which is being fired up by IPS Quantum display technology. There is little doubt that the same display specs and features will be extended by Google to the upcoming Nexus.

The QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 suits well with the Google signature phone, whether it will adopt the 5.5-inch screen profile that came with the LG G4 or it will stick with the 5.9-inch display that was introduced with the Nexus 6 in 2014. Early reviews indicate that Google is heading in the right direction in moulding the Nexus 2015 directly after the G4.

In terms of brightness, contrast and colour accuracy, the G4 readily overwhelms the best of flagships out there and that includes the hot items iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Buyers should also take note that in getting the LG G4, they’ll be enjoying a mobile device that stuns with a 2K display resolution while the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus display engines can only mange 720p and 1080p respectively.

Display experts have been reporting that 2K resolution and up matter most when beamed out on large-screen devices such as phablets and tablets. That likely the Nexus 2015 is – irresistibly gorgeous thanks to the LG G4 display attributes.

Insane camera features

Google has been wanting to deliver insane camera features with its Nexus line of devices but is falling short of its promise in the previous makes. With the G4 around, the company’s vow could be finally fulfilled.

One notable camera feature that LG brought with the G4 is the colour spectrum sensor that is embedded with the phone’s rear-located LED flash. If the same will find its way to the G4’s Nexus twin that device will have a dedicated sensor that is hardcoded to capture and reproduce colours as accurate as possible. The same shooter will perform automatic tweaks to ensure that the image and clips recorded will only render in true colours.

And as the G4 camera is baked in with default settings that can make the average users shoot professional-grade videos and images, LG made sure that advanced users can dig a little deeper. Packed with the G4 shooter is the Manual Camera mode that permits the configuration of key settings such as focus, shutter speed, white balance and ISO. Needless to say, this form of shooting freedom is one killer feature that hardcore Nexus fans would readily embrace.

Rumour has it that the LG G4 is not the only device being considered by Google to be the base-model of its next flagship. The LG G4 Note is also on the company’s cross-hair, which should lend more premium build and higher specs to the Nexus 2015 phone on its release date later this year.
