'The Good Wife' Season 7 episode 9 spoilers: Peter’s presidential campaign puts Alicia’s love life on hold

Season 7 Episode 9 of “The Good Wife” will air on Nov. 29, 2015. Titled “Discovery,” the episode will show how Alicia Florrick’s (Julianna Margulies) growing relationship with Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) will be strained by other vital matters that need to be addressed at the moment.

The synopsis on TV.com wrote that Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) will still be heavily campaigning for the presidency, which will most likely hinder his estranged wife’s potential new love interest. Eli (Alan Cumming) and Ruth (Margo Martindale) will also believe that it is best for Alicia to stay by her husband’s side until the end of the elections, since being seen in public with another man might negatively affect Peter’s bid for the White House. Previously, the two were advised to live together to show potential voters that everything is alright with their marriage, PopMatters reports. The two and their team have exerted much effort in showing that their relationship was solid. If people and the media get hints that Alicia has a boyfriend, their presidential campaign might all go to waste.

Alicia will have to check if it is alright for Jason to work for Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski). The arrangement was to keep his rate affordable and providing enough freedom so that he can continue to work as a freelancer. Jason was allowed to work for others like Lockhart and Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry). In the video, Alicia told Jason that she has no problems with the current arrangement.

In the meantime, Alicia and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) were busy looking for more clients, since their law firm were in financial trouble. Alicia’s daughter, Grace (Mackenzie Vega), was a huge help in the previous episode, landing four clients total for the office.

In episode 9, Alicia and Lucca will work with Louis (Michael J. Fox) in a case about racial profiling, CarterMatt writes. A website was accused of cultural discrimination and had to put up a solid defense. Although the two tried to lure clients away from Louis before, it will take a lot of courage to collaborate with him again. Louise previously attempted to offer Lucca a position at his company, but the latter declined, knowing that it was Alicia that he was truly after.

“The Good Wife” Season 7 airs every Sunday at 9PM on CBS.
