In the previous episode of “The Good Wife,” Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) and her mother joined forces for a cooking show, but everything turned sour. Alicia’s relationship with Diane was also in trouble when David (Zach Grenier) revealed that the former was working with Howard (Jerry Adler). [Spoiler Alert! ]

The synopsis for episode 4 of the show states that Alicia will clash with the bond court judge when she sides with a client, after the latter pleads innocent in a shoplifting case. Diane (Christine Baranski) will be coerced by her client’s attorney, Ethan Carver (Peter Gallagher), to argue and go against her own beliefs. The case revolves around a doctor-assisted suicide.

In the episode titled “Taxed,” Alicia will argue with the bond court judge due to her support on a particular case, ForexReport Daily writes. She defends a client in a shoplifting incident, but the judge rejects her request. Alicia will have to look for another strategy and prove herself in bond court, regardless of how minor her cases are. In due time, her hard work and determination might pay off and allow her to earn the respect she always longed for.

Meanwhile, Alicia is believed to have unveiled the secret details of the Howard’s case. She previoulsy did her best in not providing any information to Diane regarding her talks with Howard. In the previous episode, Howard was struggling to take control over the firm. Alicia told him honestly that the real problem was his laziness.

The way the events played out for Alicia seemed to amuse Eli. However, Ruth was not pleased with how things are unraveling.

Cartermatt writes that it seems to be a great episode for Christine Baranski, since the last episode only showed her getting upset about Alicia discussing matters with Howard. Diane has to learn how to create new dynamics with Alicia. The other characters have to plan ahead and determine how their future will turn out.

Meanwhile, Peter’s election is still in development and is expected to be part of the plot every now and then.

“The Good Wife” airs every Sunday on CBS. Episode 4, “Taxed,” will air on Sunday, Oct. 25.
