Glee actress Lea Michele has found a new love just months after her boyfriend Cory Monteith's death on July 13, 2013. In fact, Michele is so happy to share the good news of her new "little love" that she immediately posted photos on her Twitter account for the entire world to see.

"Today I would like to introduce you to Pearl. She's 8 years old and is my new little love.. Welcome Pearl!" Lea excitedly tweeted.

She adopted Pearl, an 8-year-old dog with brown fur and a small face. She didn't say what breed of dog Pearl is, but from the looks of it, Pearl appears to be a Pomeranian.

And it looks like Pearl will give Lea a run for her money because she poses like a pro in a picture that Lea posted of the two of them.

"Pearls first photo shoot!" Michele tweeted.

Lea is a well-known animal lover. She is an animal rights activist who supports the campaigns of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), particularly the "Buck Cruelty! Say No to Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides," and the campaign against wearing fur.

She was even recognized by PETA in September 2010 for her contributions to help animals.

Aside from Pearl, she also has two pet cats named Sheila and Claude.

In an interview with Ellen Degeneres, Lea told the story of how she found Shiela and her siblings.

"I found her (Shiela) on the Paramount lot under a bush with her brothers and sisters."

"Her brother is with Heather Morris now who plays Britney on my show, and so they all found homes." she happily added.

Shiela and Claude have 4 other siblings so Lea helped find homes for them as well. She even gave another kitten to one of Glee's directors.

For people wondering if Lea's new dog and her cats are getting along, wonder no more because like a doting mom, she proudly posted a photo of Shiela and Pearl on Twitter hanging out together.

She captioned the photo which shows her two pets chilling on a bed with the words "My girls:)"

It's nice to see that Shiela has warmed up to Pearl already. More pics of them will probably be posted in the coming days, so stay tuned for more.

It really looks like Lea is finally moving on, slowly but surely. First, she appeared on the Glee tribute to Cory, then she posted outtakes of a photo shoot for her upcoming debut album. Now, she adopted a dog named Pearl. Hopefully, Pearl will cheer Lea up in the coming days and remind her that the world is still her oyster.
