The next episode’s synopsis says that Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard) will find out that getting a low grade in high school would be forever projected in her permanent record. She learns this the hard way.

The promo trailer for the next episode shows Riley getting a “D” mark in her Spanish exam. She undergoes a shocking realization that it would forever be marked on her record. Throughout her experience, clips of Riley saying that she has disgraced herself kept on showing, reiterating that “D” meant “Disgrace.” To make matters worse, her best friend Maya Hart (Sabrina Carpenter) got an “A” mark on the test. This is pretty disturbing for Riley since from Season 1, it is Riley who always got the good mark than Maya.

The promo trailer also showed that Riley’s family were astounded as well with the results of the exam. Corey Matthews (Ben Savage), her father who is also her high school teacher, could not believe that Riley got a D mark. Topanga Matthews (Danielle Fishel) was also shown braiding Maya’s hair saying that she will braid her new daughter’s hair. This may be a sarcastic attempt to imply that the family is disowning Riley for her mistake and favours Maya more.

Although it is not fun to see someone fail, especially Riley, the show aims to highlight on the possible reactions of the people around her. More so, it will focus on what Riley will do to figure things out and stand up from her situation, CarterMatt writes.

It is speculated that the next episode would be as wacky and funny as the previous one, while still sticking to a moral lesson toward the end of the episode.

Looking back at the previous episode called “Girl Meets Jexica”, some common Internet and social media issues were discussed. The episode was full of funny situations that every child and adult that are exposed to the Internet can relate to, IGN reports.
