"Jane The Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez, who is a first-time nominee at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards, recently shared in an interview the preparations she made for the awarding ceremony. The 30-year-old actress revealed as well who the person she will bring at the event as her date.

According to an exclusive E!Online report, Gina Rodriguez shared during the BAFTA-LA's Tea Party with Mulberry, Jaguar and American Airlines held at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills that she will wake up on the big day and probably go boxing with her father before having breakfast with her family. The CW star revealed that her mother prepares the meal but she holds back the bread because of the tight dress that her daughter will wear at the event.

"I was like, how are you going to even tease me, mom, with all that delicious butter? But I will be having that the second I get out of the dress," Rodriguez shared. The actress further revealed that one of the preparations she made for the 2015 Golden Globe Awards is to try on 7,000 dresses before deciding what to wear at the event.

"But you know what's crazy? I like the second dress and it's the one we went with. After trying on all these dresses, I kept going back to this dress," Rodriguez shared. When asked who will be her date at the event, Gina Rodriguez revealed that she is taking her eldest sister with her. "She helped me pay for college. She's one of my heroes and I love her," the actress explained.

Meanwhile, the CW Network confirmed that there will be a second season for "Jane The Virgin." The network has renewed the comedy-drama series for another season along with the other CW shows such as "The Flash," "The Originals," "Reign," "The 100," "Arrow," "The Vampire Diaries" and "Supernatural."

"Not all orders will be for full-season 22 episodes and not all shows will return next fall, with some of them possibly being held back for midseason and even summer," CW Network President Mark Pedowitz stated in a Deadline report. According to Mark Pedowitz, the executive producers of the show can now start planning the storylines for the next season.

Gina Rodriguez will return as Jane Villanueva in the second half of "Jane The Virgin" Season 1 on Monday night, Jan. 19, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the CW Network.
