Vanessa Hudgens recently shared that being with Zac Efron brought out her bad side. She said she was constantly jealous because Zac had so many female fans.

In a New York Times article, Hudgens revealed how she was consumed with jealousy when she was still Efron’s girlfriend. Her jealousy reportedly made her enter a phase where she was constantly mean. She said whenever girl fans fawn over Zac, she could not help but give them “death stares.” She reportedly learned that her behaviour was not right.

Now that she is not seeing Zac anymore and has grown up a lot, Hudgens said she has a new golden rule to live by. According to her, she is trying to be more respectful towards those around her and advised people to always “spread the love.”

The actress is currently dating actor/model Austin Butler. She shared that Butler helped her become more committed to a Christian faith. Although she was born a Catholic, she reportedly never felt connected to it until now.

Hudgens is also currently busy with the stage adaptation of Colette’s 1945 novel titled “Gigi,” which would mark her Broadway debut. She plays the carefree young girl residing in Paris at the turn of the 20th century who is suddenly faced with the dilemma of becoming the companion of a rich playboy. The role was formerly Audrey Hepburn’s in 1951. According to Hudgens, her personal experience of preparing for “Gigi” was a lot of fun. She told People magazine back in November that as preparation for the role, she is trying to be as carefree as possible. She also said that she loves everything about the show, from the character down to the music.

Doing "Gigi" reportedly made Hudgens realize that she wants to keep doing Broadway shows, as “Gigi” changed her perspective and work ethics. According to her, she loves it despite hating being tossed by male members of the chorus all the time.
