After three years of going steady, Anne Hathaway is finally tying the knot with Adam Shulman.

The award winning-actress has been recently spotted to have been wearing a designer engagement ring, according to her representative. Shulman, a low-profile actor, became Hathaway's boyfriend after she broke up with Raffaelo Follieri in 2008.

According to the actress, there was instant chemistry when she first met Shulman, but it took some time before they really got steady. When they were both sure that they were truly single, they picked up the pace for their relationship.

Shulman is described by Hathaway as "very mellow," compared to the previous boyfriends.

"Mellow doesn't always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life," the young actress stated in one interview.

Shulman has been seen in several movie projects and television shows like "American Dreams" and "The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning."

Aside from being an actor, he is also a well-recognized jewellery designer. He is the co-founder of the James Banks line of jewellery, responsible for his own fiancé's engagement ring design.
