Controversial reality TV star Marnie Simpson has taken to social media to put an end to the Twitter war between “The Only Way is Essex” lad Lewis Bloor and “Geordie Shore” star Aaron Chalmers. Marnie’s post comes after Lewis, her current beau, and her ex-boyfriend Aaron engaged in an explosive online showdown.

On Friday, the “Geordie Shore” and “Celebrity Big Brother” star posted a lengthy note on her Instagram account, defending Lewis. “I have to post this for my own self sanity. Lewis did not take 25k from me,” she wrote. “[It’s] unfair for me to let people think that as it’s not true. And a lot of things have been fabricated through hate and callus.”

While the 25-year-old brunette beauty admitted that she helped him incredibly through their relationship, she claimed it wasn’t all one-sided. “[He] did guide me in different ways he was kind and loving and encouraged me in everything I did, which is why I’m so torn apart by his actions, I didn’t expect it.”

Last week, Marnie was devastated to learn last week that Lewis cheated on her on Valentine’s Day. The two met and fell in love during their stint on “Celebrity Big Brother” in 2016. Moments after the cheating scandal was reported, Marnie didn’t waste time and took to Twitter to unleash her fury, but her angry tweets have since been deleted on her account. A day after, Lewis posted a lengthy note owning up to his mistake.

“I am utterly disappointed in myself for hurting such an amazing girl, she did not deserve any of the pain I have caused,” the 27-year-old reality TV star wrote. “It was a drunken mistake, a terrible thing I wish I had the courage to just admit my wrong doing so Marnie did not have to find out from these girls.”

Marnie’s ex, Aaron, decided to join the fray and made the lovers’ spat even juicier by bringing out the money issue. Commenting on Lewis’ emotional post, Aaron claimed that Marnie has spent at least £20,000 (AU$32,380) on Lewis. “Why don’t you start by paying back some of the 20-25k you sponged off her,” Aaron wrote. This led to a harsh exchange of tweets between the two men that even led to a boxing match challenge.

Amid all the racket, Marnie revealed that she and Lewis have reconciled. “Finally got things sorted between me & @LewisBloor4,” she wrote. The lovebirds posted sweet messages for each other, including one wherein Lewis asked Marnie to marry him. “[Yes] I'll marry you baby,” she responded and even put “engaged to @LewisBloor4” on her description.
