“Genius” actress Nicole Kidman recently talked about the possibility of reuniting with Lee Daniels in “Empire” season 2. Tom Cruise’s former wife starred in the 2012 drama thriller “The Paperboy,” which was directed by Daniels.

The Australian actress is gracing the cover of the October 2015 issue of Interview. In the magazine, she told Daniels, “You promised me I would be there one day . Something like doing ‘Empire’ is more to do with whether I can devote the amount of time I need to.”

With her busy schedule, Kidman said she would appear on “Empire” Season 2 if she found enough time. Currently, the Oscar-winning actress is in London for the play “Photograph 51,” in which she will play the role of Rosalind Franklin.

In the magazine, Daniels also reminded Kidman about the filming of “The Paper.” The “Empire” Season 2 executive producer said Kidman claimed she was okay even after she was bent over the washer and dryer and eventually bruised in a love scene with John Cusack.

According to Kidman, most actors say they are fine even if they are actually hurt by their co-actor because it is how they “ release into things and find stuff.” She pointed out that the idea of being humiliated and humiliating another actor is devastating.

Along with Kidman and Cusack, “The Paperboy” also starred Matthew McConaughey, Zac Efron, David Oyelowo, Macy Gray, Scott Glenn and Kevin Waterman, among others. The film earned Kidman a Golden Globe Award nomination in 2013.

Kidman is set to star in “Genius,” in which she will play the late American costume designer Aline Bernstein. Directed by Michael Grandage, the upcoming biographical drama film also stars Jude Law, Colin Firth, Guy Pearce, Dominic West, Laura Linney, Vanessa Kirby, Mark Arnold and Jane Perry, among others.

In other news, Kidman was reportedly not invited to her adopted daughter Isabella Cruise’s secret Scientology wedding ceremony at London’s Dorchester Hotel in September. A source told Page Six that the actress did not know about the nuptials at all.
