'General Hospital' spoilers for Oct. 17 – 21: Two characters face an epic showdown; a couple plans for the future; an offer comes up to reopen the hospital
Things are about to get even more exciting and dramatic at Port Charles in this week’s episodes of “General Hospital” (“GH”). On Monday, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Julian (William deVry) battle head to head over the car explosion. Sonny refuses to be intimidated by Julian and even dares the latter to take his best shot.
The Oct. 17 run also features Nelle (Chloe Lanier), who offers her support to Sonny, but fans know she has a hidden motive. Tracy (Jane Elliot), on the other hand, points her fingers at Lucy (Lynn Herring) for what happened to the hospital. Other “General Hospital” cast members who will appear on the upcoming episodes include Carly (Laura Wright), Franco (Roger Howarth), Liz (Rebecca Herbst), TJ (Tequan Richmond), Curtis (Donnell Turner), Claudette (Bree Williamson), Anna (Finola Hughes), Sam (Kelly Monaco), Jason (Billy Miller), Ava (Maura West), Maxie (Kirsten Storms), Hayden (Rebecca Budig), Finn (Michael Easton) and Laura (Genie Francis).

The show’s official website uploaded a preview video for the Oct. 17 episode. In the trailer, Sonny confronts Julian and taunts him, “You put me on notice? Take your best shot!” Franco, on the other hand, offers another solution to Liz. Elsewhere, Tracy minces no words as she talks to Lucy. “General Hospital is on the chopping block and you are the executioner,” Tracy says. TJ also figures in the video as he mentions hiring a private investigator to delve into the car explosion. The last scene shows Carly as she cries to Jason, “Morgan’s dead. I’m never going to forgive myself.”

TV Guide reports that Tuesday’s installment deals with Franco, who comes up with a strategy to bring the hospital back to life. Speaking of Franco, Laura grills Liz about her feelings for him. Hayden, on the other hand, receives an insulting proposal.
On Wednesday, Ava and Sonny get into a heated confrontation. Elsewhere, Hayden corners Finn about her feelings for her, while Maxie has a significant piece of information to share. Thursday’s run focuses on Claudette as she reels from a terrible discovery. Meanwhile, Sonny lets his dreams overwhelm him. Nelle, on the other hand, faces up to Ava. For its last salvo this week, “GH” features Sam and Jason as they talk about their life ahead. Anna sees someone she knows, while Claudette desperately begs for something.
