It’s going to be an exciting week at Port Charles as the upcoming episodes of “General Hospital” (“GH”) centre on unexpected twists and stunning developments. On Monday, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is shocked to his core when Carly (Laura Wright) announces that she’s ending things between them.

Carly simply cannot forgive Sonny for betraying her with Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and decides to walk out of his life. As Sonny nurses a broken heart, spoilers suggest that he will quickly rebound and find love again soon. The breakup is certainly the last thing that he needs right now – he’s in for another emotional confrontation as he meets the person responsible for his son’s death.

Other characters who will also appear prominently this week include Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), Nina (Michelle Stafford), Charlotte (Scarlett Fernadez), Lulu (Emme Rylan), Anna (Finola Hughes), Andre (Anthony Montgomery), Tracy (Jane Elliot), Hayden (Rebecca Budig), Finn (Michael Easton), Bobbie (Jacklyn Zemen), Liz (Rebecca Herbst), Nora (Hillary B Smith), Laura (Genie Francis), Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), Olivia (Tonja Walker), Griffin (Matt Cohen), Franco (Roger Howarth), Jake (Hudson West), Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam (Kelly Monaco).

ABC posted a sneak peek of the March 20 episode. In the trailer, Valentin is celebrating his victory with Nina after getting custody of Charlotte. “No one is ever going to take you away from us,” he says. Lulu, on the other hand, reels at her defeat and wonders to her mum, “What is the long game? How will it get me my daughter back?”

Meanwhile, Anna seems to be raging mad as she orders Andre, “You just need to stay the hell out of my life.” At the hospital, Tracy tells Hayden that she has good news for once. Elsewhere, Finn talks to someone on the phone and says that he’s looking for an immediate opening. Carly also figures in the trailer as she points out to Sonny, “I’m here to figure out what’s going on between us.” On the last scene, Bobbie grabs Nelle and angrily asks her, “How do you live with yourself?”

TV Guide reports that on Tuesday’s episode, Nelle mulls over an interesting job offer, while Hayden tries to avoid Liz’s interrogation. Wednesday’s installment features Valentin, who reconnects with his lawyer Nora to discuss the last few details of the custody case. Meanwhile, Laura’s relationship with Kevin hits a snag when she becomes too focused on his hatred with Valentin. Liv, on the other hand, manages to cause Griffin some discomfort even while she’s locked up in jail.

On Thursday, Finn does everything he can to keep his secret, while Franco expresses his worries about Jake. Elsewhere, Sonny comes face to face with Liv, the woman who killed his son. “G&H” wraps the week with an episode focusing on Alexis, who continues to suffer from grief. Sonny, on the other hand, struggles to accept his recent losses, while Jason and Sam reunite after surviving a terrible nightmare.
