Games with Gold for June 2016, Deals with Gold announced for the Xbox One, Xbox 360
Microsoft has released its lineup of Games with Gold for June 2016 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. This comes earlier than the announcement of the PS Plus lineup for the same month, which has people speculating if Xbox’s free lineup of games is better than its Sony counterpart once more.
For June, Xbox One players will technically get all four games, two of which will be Xbox One backward compatible titles. The two Xbox One dedicated titles are “Goat Simulator” and “The Crew.” The first one will be available from June 1 to 30, while Ubisoft's racing title will be free from June 16 to July 15.
Xbox 360 players can enjoy “Super Meat Boy” for the first half of June. “XCOM Enemy Unknown” will be the free Xbox 360 game from June 16 to 30. As mentioned, these two games will also be available for the Xbox One.
The free games are in line with the third birthday of Games with Gold as an Xbox program, according to the Xbox Wire.
Also ongoing this week is the Deals with Gold. A couple of Xbox One games are on sale by as much as 75 percent discount, such as “F1 2015” and “Chariot Bundle,” while
“OlliOlli” is discounted at 80 percent. Those that are at half price include “Mega Coin Squad,” “Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty” Deluxe Edition, “Octodad: Dadliest Catch,” “EA Sports FIFA 16” Deluxe Edition and “Don’t Starve: Giant Edition.”
“Fallout 4” fans may want to take advantage of the “Fallout 4” sale at 35 percent discount. Even better is the “Fallout 4” Digital Deluxe Bundle, set for a 40 percent discount. There is also a scattering of ID@Xbox Game Fest titles, including “Fruit Ninja Kinect 2,” “GG Bundle 2015,” “Shovel Knight” and “Slender: The Arrival.”
Even Xbox 360 players are not left behind. Detailed over Major Nelson’s blog, there is an equally long list of Xbox 360 games on sale. Some notable ones that are on Super Sale are the “BioShock” series, the “Borderlands” series and a handful of “Dark Souls” titles.
As usual, players who are eligible for the Deals with Gold offer are those with Xbox Live Gold memberships.
