'Game of Thrones' season 7: Letters by Jorah, Tyrion, Cersei and more

There have already been a lot of letters in “Game of Thrones” season 7, from the summons Jon Snow (Kit Harington) from Cersei (Lena Headey) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) to Jorah's (Iain Glen) goodbye letter, which was never posted. HBO has now released pictures of these letters for fans to read. The following article contains spoilers from the episodes that have already aired.

The letter by Cersei, posted on Making Game of Thrones, is both direct and insulting. The queen refers to the King in the North as a “bast*rd,” ordering him to bend the knee or suffer the fate of traitors.

Tyrion’s letter, also posted on Making Game of Thrones, is more of an appeal rather than an order. He sees Jon Snow as his equal, and hints at his friendship from the time they first met years ago at the Wall, using the words he used in their first encounter.

There is also the letter Sam (John Bradley) wrote to Jon about the Dragonglass mine at Dragonstone. This apparently could be the last known source of the precious material, which is crucial in the fight against the White Walkers. There is also a picture of the surgeon's instructions, which Sam uses to try and cure Jorah (Iain Glen). Jorah had almost given up hope of finding a cure. In his letter, he talks about having loved his Khaleesi (Emilia Clarke) the moment he laid eyes on her, and about how the Maesters at the Citadel believe there is no hope for a cure at this advanced stage of the Greyscale disease.

The letter Jorah wrote to his Khaleesi is unsigned and may not have been sent out. He wrote this letter before Sam came with a bold experiment, an experiment that puts the Maester involved in danger of catching the dreaded disease.
