A new trailer of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 has been released online, teasing a flashback scene. The scene may finally reveal the identity of the real parents of Jon Snow, something that the fans have been speculating about for a long time.

[Spoiler alert]

When filming for the show began at the Castillo de Zafra in Spain, many of the fans saw how similar the location looked when compared to the Tower of Joy. The Tower of Joy is the place where Prince Rhaegar Targaryen took Ned Stark’s (Sean Bean) sister Lyanna Stark just before Robert Baratheon’s (Mark Addy) rebellion.

Many fans believe that Lyanna gave birth to Jon Snow (Kit Harington) at the Tower of Joy and made Ned promise to take care of him, but not reveal his identity to anyone. The teaser trailer of the next season of the show appears to finally reveal what happened at the Tower of Joy.

The new trailer shows guards carrying the Targaryen symbols on their chest at the Castillo de Zafra set. A flashback scene about Jon Snow’s parentage in “Game of Thrones” Season 6 would suggest that the character is still not done and has an important role to play in the future.

The trailer also teases some of the other events on the show this year and one of the scenes shows Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in trouble. Jamie appears to use force to secure the release of the Tyrells and that may have consequences. The High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) appears to be using the Faith Militants to assassinate Jamie and send a strong message to the Iron Throne about the power of the people.

Perhaps the biggest event in “Game of Thrones” Season 6 is the impending White Walker invasion. The new season also promises massive battles in the north, where the Boltons will take on the Free Folk.
