“Game of Thrones” Season 5, episode 2, titled “The House of Black and White,” aired April 19 on HBO. This weekend’s new episode delivers some good news for the followers of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington).

Spoiler alert: This update contains “Game of Thrones” Season 5 spoilers. Read on at your own risk.

Things get very difficult for Daenerys Targaryen in the early part of “Game of Thrones” Season 5, episode 2. In a bid to deliver justice, she lets Daario Naharis (Michiel Huisman) chop off the head of a former slave. This the people of Meereen. They wanted “mercy” for the former slave who killed a member of the Sons of the Harpy.

The Sons of the Harpy are going after Daenerys’ Unsullied, and they have a connection at the brothel, as seen in the premiere of “Game of Thrones” Season 5. This remains unknown to Daenerys, Daario and Ser Barristen (Ian McElhinney), who cautions Daenerys against becoming “mad” like her father in episode 2.

The people of Meereen are now against Daenerys; they show it openly by hissing loudly and throwing stones. The difficult day ends with a surprising visit from Drogon, Daenerys’ missing dragon. Drogon does not get violent before Daenerys, who looks pleased to see her runaway child, even as Drogon flies off again.

This brief reunion between Drogon and Daenerys in “Game of Thrones” Season 5, episode 2 is a hint of more changes, in contrast to the events in George R.R. Martin’s “A Song Of Ice And Fire,” the series from which HBO’s GOT is developed.

Meanwhile, in the free city of Braavos, Arya and Jaqen H'ghar (Tom Wlaschiha) meet again, but he does not make it easy for her at the House of Black and White. Jaqen H'ghar is “gone,” and Arya hears about becoming “no one.” Valar morghulis.

In another development, Jon Snow becomes the 998th Lord Commander of the Knight's Watch in “Game of Thrones” Season 5, episode 2. Prior to this development, Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) tells Jon he could be Jon Stark, Lord of Winterfell – if he submits himself to Stannis. Jon does not like the idea, saying he takes his words seriously, as he does the Knight's Watch.

Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) gets a chance to speak to Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), but Sansa couldn’t trust her. Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish (Aidan Gillen) mocks Brienne, but she is determined to stay behind Sansa. Pod (Daniel Portman) tells Brienne she might be free of her vows, but the bottomline is neither one of them could trust Littlefinger.

“Game of Thrones” Season 5, episode 2 also launches Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn) on a quest to snatch Myrcella Baratheon (Nell Tiger Free) from Dorne. For his part, Prince Doran Martell (Alexander Siddig) is against mutilating children for vengeance. Ellaria (Indira Varma) believes otherwise.

The next episode, “Game of Thrones” Season 5, episode 3, titled “High Sparrow,” airs on Apr. 26 on HBO.
