The producers of "Game of Thrones" Season 5 recently announced the new cast members and their roles. One important character missing was Arianne Martell. Fans of the franchise who are waiting for the next book "Winds of Winter" recently got to read a sample chapter of the character.

The popular TV show "Game of Thrones" is based on the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" written by George R. R. Martin. The show however has made many changes in the TV adaptation. But the exclusion of an important character like Arianne Martell has come as a surprise to many fans.

Arianne Martell is not a small character in the book series. She is a character who gets her own point of view chapters focusing on her story. The character will also be a part of the upcoming book by George R. R. Martin.

Many of the fans contend that the casting of Arianne Martell as the heir to Dorne is important in "Game of Thrones" Season 5 because it distinguishes the kingdom from the others in Westeros. Readers who have watched the previous season will remember Prince Oberyn explaining this primary difference in Dorne.

Some of the fans have taken to the social media to express their anger about the omission. Some of the fans hope that the character is given a lot of weight in the upcoming book with some fans hoping that she wins the Iron Throne.

I CAN ACCEPT SO MANY OF THE CHANGES IN THE SHOW, EVEN LADY STONEHEART, BUT ARIANNE MARTELL IS A POV CHARACTER + CENTRAL FIGURE OF THE DORNE

The new characters from the House Martell include Doran Martell and Trystane Martell. The roles will be played by Alexander Siddig and Toby Sabastian respectively. Doran is the head of the House Martell and Trystane maybe replacing Arianne as the heir.

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 will be filming in Spain as a location to show the kingdom of Dorne. The fans of the franchise are eagerly waiting to see what happens next to their favourite characters. Tyrion Lannsietr was last seen leaving on a ship and Daenerys Targaryen had to lockup her dragons.
