With still no news of the "Winds of Winter' release date, fans are busy analyzing the past events to try and predict things to come. The book series George R. R. Martin has many shocking deaths at unexpected times, but is there a method to the deaths?

The author tends to kill characters who have outlived their usefulness and as the story line progresses the actions of the characters have ramifications, which may include death. The big death that fans expect in "Winds of Winter" is that of Arya Stark.

Arya Stark is on the way to becoming one of the top three most popular characters in the TV series "Game of Thrones," which is based on the book series from George R. R. Martin. The characters which are on the top include Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister.

Recently the author released a sample chapter of "Winds of Winter," the chapter was of Arya Stark killing a Lannister soldier. Some fans are concerned about Arya's obsession with vengeance. In Westeros the actions of characters tend to have consequences, Robb Stark broke a promise and was killed, Ned Stark was too hung up on honour, Tywin Lannister underestimated Tyrion, and so on.

Will Arya Stark's obsession with vengeance be her undoing? It may be still some time before the character is killed off though, because the true purpose of the character is still not known and fans expect that she will soon return to Westeros from Braavos.

Some fans are predicting that Arya Stark will kill and take the place of the girl who is masquerading as Arya Stark. Fans expect this will happen when the fake Arya Stark takes a trip to Braavos and word reaches the real Arya Stark.

Some fans predict that Arya Stark will join Daenerys Targaryen's council and help her rule. She will need the support of some of the strong houses if she wants to maintain control of the Seven Kingdoms.

Other predictions include Tyrion Lannister uniting with Daenerys Targaryen to be her right hand man and the return of Jon Snow. All the fans are eagerly waiting to see what really happens beyond The Wall and if the White Walkers would descend to Westeros in winter.
