Samsung Galaxy Note 6 was previously rumoured to launch in July this year. However, Evan Blass, a popular leakster has claimed that the U.S. release date for Galaxy Note 6 will be slotted in the middle of August.

In the previous year, the Galaxy Note 5 was released on Aug. 13. According to Blass, the Galaxy Note 6 U.S. release date will be placed in the week of Aug. 15. As of this writing, there is no leaked information available on the pricing of Note 6. However, Phone Arena has speculated that it will be carrying an off-contract price tag of $700 and it will be available through all the major carriers in the U.S.

Samsung is rumoured to be working on a starting firmware for Note 6. Its build number is N930FXXU0APE1. The retail unit of Note 6 is likely to feature an upgraded firmware. Speculations suggest that the firmware will several new features.

The South Korean company will be adding new features for S-Pen. Also, it will be introducing a Samsung Focus app that will function like Blackberry Hub which will allow users to access several services such as email, social networking accounts, and instant messengers at one place.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is rumoured to feature a 5.8-inch AMOLED display. It will be arriving in two CPU editions of Snapdragon 823 and an upgraded version of Exynos 8890. Both the variants will be featuring 6 GB of RAM.

The rear camera of Note 6 is rumoured to be of 12 MP like the one present on Galaxy S7. It will be the first Samsung smartphone to feature USB Type-C port. The smartphone will be arriving with Android N OS preinstalled. It is expected to be powered by 4000 mAh capacity battery.

Samsung is also speculated to be working on Galaxy Note 6 Lite, a slightly low-end edition of the flagship phablet. It will come with a 5.8-inch screen, Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM.
