The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is one of the most awaited smartphones of this year. Even though the South Korean tech giant has not revealed any official information on the Note 5, more and more details on the purported features are surfacing at a consistent pace.

Design

Phone Arena claims that the Note 5 will be sporting a premium design like the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. In other words, it will bring forth a combination of glass and metal. Its thickness is predicted as 7.9 mm.

Quad HD Screen

According to G for Games that cites Zol.com, the Note 5 will be featuring a bigger display screen of 5.9-inch. As opposed to previous rumors, the Note 5’s display will not support 4K resolution but continue to house a Quad HD resolution screen like that of Galaxy Note 4.

Exynos 7422 Chipset

The Exynos 7422 chipset is believed to be a new 325 square SoC that will power the Galaxy Note 5. Rumors have it that it is a single chip that features a 3 GB of memory and 32 GB native storage. The use of the new small-sized chipset will allow the manufacture to add bigger battery on the device.

Camera

Phone Arena claims that the rumour mill is silent on the camera details of the forthcoming phablet. It may house a 16 MP camera with support for OIS (optical image stabilization) like the predecessor model and an improved frontal camera of 8 MP.

USB Type-C

It will be the first Samsung smartphone to support USB Type-C connector. Through it, users can take advantage of faster data transfer speeds that can reach up to 10 Gbps. New Stylus

An enhanced S-Pen stylus is expected to arrive on the Note 5. A new mechanism patent filing reveals that the S-Pen stylus will be able to pop-out automatically through gesture or voice command.

Enormous Battery

As mentioned before, the inclusion of newer chipset may allow Samsung to add a bigger battery on the Note 5. The phablet is expected to feature an enormous battery of 4,100 mAh capacity.

Galaxy Note 5 Release Date

Previously, it was rumoured that the Galaxy Note 5 release date will happen in July. However, fresh reports claim that it may arrive in August even though the manufacturer is heavily predicted to follow the usual September release pattern of its predecessor Note phablets. As of this writing, none of the aforementioned details have been confirmed by Samsung.
