The Galaxy Note 4 and the reported Google Nexus 6 (said to be called the Nexus X) boast very attractive features that may make it difficult for consumers to decide which one to get. Does one device stand out over the other, or are they equally matched? Have a look at some of their most notable features and decide.

Display

According to ValueWalk, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 retains the size of its predecessor, people will get improvents. It has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with its awesome screen resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels and 515ppi pixel density. GSMArena lists the screen to be made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Google Nexus 6's reported screen is much wider with its 5.9-inch display. It is reported to have the same screen resolution with a pixel density of 565ppi. The material used for the display has yet to be confirmed as the device remains rumored at the time of writing.

Under the Hood

There is a similarity with the hardware of both devices, because they are both powered by the latest quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Krait 450 processor. According to GSMArena, another build of the Note 4 will be carrying an Exynos 5433 processor instead.

When it comes to software, both handsets will run with the latest versions of Android available. Galaxy Note 4 comes with Android KitKat 4.4.4 installed out of the box. The Nexus 6 is rumored to feature the highly anticipated Android 5.0 L, which has not yet been released by Google. Samsung has a history of updating their devices promptly as soon as new Android software is released, so users can expect the Note 4 to be updated as soon as Android L becomes available.

Memory

The Galaxy Note 4 and Nexus 6 both offer the same in-built storage of 32GB. The difference is that Galaxy Note 4 supports expandable storage to up to 128GB with its MicroSD card slot while Nexus 6 does not provide the same benefit. Both the Note 4 and Nexus 6 have 3GB of RAM.

Camera

Both handsets provide an amazing camera for its users. GSMArena lists that the Galaxy Note 4 has a rear facing camera that supports a solid 16MP ISOCELL with an LED flash and a front facing camera with a 3.7MP resolution. On the other hand, Nexus 6 is rumored to carry a 13MP primary camera with LED flash. It is also reported to feature a secondary camera with 2.1MP. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 clearly rises as the device that offers a better camera.

Battery

The two devices offer battery units that provide sufficient power to the phablets' monster features. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 houses a Li-Ion 3,220 mAh battery while Google Nexus 6 is reported to have a non-removable Li-Po battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Google Nexus 6 both offer great features, but with little information confirmed about the Nexus 6, the Galaxy Note 4 emerges as the superior device for now. The Note 4 is already available in the market while the Nexus 6 is rumored to be coming in October / November.
