At 42, Gabrielle Union didn't look completely different from her character in the teen comedy film "Bring It On." Union pretty much looked the same way that she did more than a decade ago. In a new interview, Union shared her secrets to looking and feeling young.

Speaking to Elle, Union said that she doesn't follow any mantra to stay young. For Union, it is all about keeping things light and being kind to herself.

Union admitted that things have gotten tough now that she is married. In September, Union got married to Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade. She said she has a house full of children, her career, her philanthropy work, and her family, which make it difficult for her to find a balance between everything, but she isn't stressing herself out. She uses the same approach in aging.

"Some days I'm going to look 32, some days I'm going to look 52," Union said. "Hopefully more often than not, I'll look 32, but on those days that I'm just not looking great, it's okay."

In a society where beauty has always been one of the ultimate obsessions, Union said she is one who isn't fixated with beauty. Union's mindset is to enjoy life and the result shows on her physical appearance. There is so much to smile about so she's enjoying everything that life has to offer. She spends time around people that make her happy and try to avoid those who bring negative vibes because they will only make her age faster. In addition to living her life in a way that most people don't, Union also works out to beat the stress.

Meanwhile, fans of the 42-year-old actress expressed their delight because Union is back for another season of BET Network's "Being Mary Jane." The new season will premiere on February 3, 2015. The new season will feature storylines about the "Black experience" and her decision to try to conceive a child in every way possible. The guest stars for the second season include Christina Vidal, Gary Dourdan, Kyle Massey, Chris Spencer, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Thomas Q. Jones, and S. Epatha Merkerson. Fans of the show can stay up-to-date with the TV series via its official Facebook page and Twitter account.
