“Furious 7” actor Ludacris was among the musicians who joined the recent re-launch of hip-hop artist Jeezy’s charity Street Dreamz Foundation. The dinner party also marked the 10th anniversary of the certified platinum album “Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101.”

Released on July 26, 2005, “Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101” was Jezzy’s major debut album with Def Jam Recordings and third studio album. The singles released from the album were “And Then What,” “My Hood,” “Soul Survivor” and “Go Crazy,” whose most frequently heard version is the remix featuring Jay-Z.

“Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101” debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. Aside from Ludacris, Ne-Yo, Usher, Reed, Big Boi Johnta Austin and Monica also attended the dinner party on the 10th anniversary of the album, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle.

On July 23, Jeezy performed at a sold-out show at the Fox Theatre and District 4 clean-up. A day after this, the rapper received the Phoenix Award from Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed for everything that he has done and is still doing in Atlanta.

In another news, Ludacris is set to join the cast of “Empire” season 2, which will also feature Ne-Yo who will be joining the Fox hit series’ music producer Timbaland to write music for the upcoming sophomore season. However, it is yet to be confirmed if Ne-Yo will also join the cast.

Recently, Ludacris took to Instagram to share a photo of himself in a prison guard uniform with a nameplate bearing the name McKnight. Posing with him is Terrence Howard in an orange prison jumpsuit. At the end of “Empire” season 1, Howard’s character hip-hop mogul Lucious Lyon was arrested for the murder of Cookie Lyon’s (Taraji P. Henson) cousin Bunkie Williams.

Ludacris’ character, officer McKnight is a veteran who believes that celebrities do not deserve to be treated better than other inmates, according to Access Hollywood . It is yet to be confirmed how long the “Furious 7” actor will be appearing on the Fox hit series.

“Empire” season 2 marks the reunion of Ludacris, Howard and Henson. In 2005, the three starred together in the crime drama film “Hustle & Flow” along with “Black-ish” actor Anthony Anderson, “Orange Is The New Black” star Taryn Manning and the late “South Park” voice actor Isaac Hayes, among others.
