The highly anticipated crossover between “The Flash” and “Supergirl” TV shows will be happening in March, CBS announced in a press release. Barry Allen will be visiting the world of the female superhero in the episode that will be broadcast on Monday, March 28th (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).

A deal has been worked out by The CW, Warner Bros., CBS and DC for the cross over to happen. Details about what happens in the episode have not been revealed yet, but the producers have said that the details about the episode will be shared at a later date.

The executive producers of the two different shows Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg said that they were “incredibly excited” to make the announcement about the crossover. The producers revealed that they had “dreamed” of this since the time they started making “Supergirl.”

The TV series about the popular female comic book hero first aired on Oct. 26, 2015. The first season has 20 episodes and the first 12 episodes of the show have already been aired. “The Flash” on the other hand is into its second season. The first season of the show has 23 episodes and 13 episodes from the second season have already aired.

It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support,” executive producers Berlanti and Kreisberg said in the press release.

The cast members of “Supergirl” in include Melissa Benoist (Kara Danvers), Mehcad Brooks (James Olsen), Jeremy Jordan (Winn Schott) and Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers). The cast members of “The Flash” include Grant Gustin (Barry Allen), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), Candice Patton (Iris West) and Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow).
