Savitar (Tobin Bell) looked defeated in the December mid-season finale of "The Flash," but a glimpse of the future has left Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the team restless. In an earlier look into the future, Barry saw how Iris would die by Savitar’s hand and, having messed with the timeline himself, it has gotten him worried. This only means that the whole team will be frantically searching for means to prevent this from actually happening.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Flash” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens before the next episode airs.

Sources say that everybody is expected to play a huge part in the effort since Iris is a part of the team. When producer Todd Helbing was asked if this includes Julian Alchemy, who is more popularly known as Dr. Alchemy, he revealed that he feels guilty and wants to make amends. However, it looks like Barry’s journey into the future will keep him occupied since he cannot figure out how Savitar could tamper with the Speed Force.

As for the rest of the team, Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) is expected to play an important role in Cisco’s (Carlos Valdes) promising superhero path. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) will continue to meddle with her Killer Frost alter ego and, as for Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale), he will continue to cause some sort of headache as Kid Flash, reports Comicbook Movie.

“The Flash” easter egg in “Suicide Squad”

More is expected in the upcoming few episodes after an Easter Egg was found in a viral website for “Suicide Squad” called Argus-gov. The site allows its visitors to search for information regarding the members of the squad and, upon a closer look at Harley Quinn’s profile, one can see a “Flash” Easter egg.

In the “other info” section of the file, there is a note that says that the character had been moved from Alabama to Keystone City. This city is noted to be the place that Barry calls home and some sources call it Central City. Now, let’s just wait and see if anything related to it does happen on the show.

The Flash” returns from its mid-season break on January 24 at 8 p.m. on The CW. It also airs on FOX8 in Australia.
