Episode 21 of "The Flash" season 3 saw the team try a memory wipe on Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) to take “Savitar” out of the mix, a tactic that failed. With Team Flash trying to fix Barry (or Bart Allen), Tracey Brand (Anne Dudek) and H.R. (Tom Cavanagh) went to work on the weapon called "Super Bazooka" which needed something "special" to function.

Initially, the idea of wiping out Barry’s memory seemed to make sense only that they did not consider the impact it had on the metahumans. While it did take "Savitar" out of the picture, the move also took away the powers of "Kid Flash"/ Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale). "Killer Frost" / Caitlyn Snow (Dana Panabaker) was also affected though it was later revealed that she still had some superpower left.

With "Savitar" gone, the uncanny alliance was explained with "Killer Frost" helping out to return Barry’s memory. Together with Cisco (Carlos Valdes), the two former allies work together to restore Barry's memory as well as the timeline, Entertainment Weekly reports.

With Cisco, Caitlyn and Julian (Tom Felton) working on Barry, H.R. and Tracy Brand have their own problems as they fast-track the weapon to trap "Savitar." Along with some flirting on the side, the duo was able to finish the "Super Bazooka," though it needed a power source stronger than the Earth’s sun.

The eventual power source is the Dominator’s mind-control crystal which will be up in the next episode. The "Flash" will try to get hold of it, though he will need to get past an old adversary in "King Shark."

Curiously, "King Shark" was supposed to be locked up at Argus. Then again, that can be easily changed with some added storylines of an escape. Looking ahead, it seems that things just got tougher for Barry with "Savitar" and "Killer Frost" expected to get in the way.

The good news is that with Barry’s memory restored, “Kid Flash” is back. "Captain Cold" / Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller) will be helping out as well, a deal that should be equally interesting, Den of Geek reports. The official trailer for the "Flash" season 3 episode 22 titled "Infantino Street" can be viewed below.

With Team Flash certain to get the crystal, it begs to ask the implications of technically altering the current timeline. Remember that Tracy Brand did come up with the "Speed Force" trap so fast-forwarding will render changes moving forward.

It could be a good or bad thing though the immediate concern is saving Iris West's (Candice Patton) life. After that, expect some new twists arising, with most likely to be planted by the season 3 finale of the "Flash."
