DC fans are looking forward to Season 2 Episode 8 of “The Flash,” titled “Legends of Today,” which is reported to be a crossover episode with “Arrow.”

Spoiler alert! This article contains "The Flash" season 2 episode 8 spoilers.

The plot summary on TV.com states that the crossover episode between “The Flash” and “Arrow” will feature Vandal Savage attacking Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Kendra. Barry/Flash (Grant Gustin) will take Kendra (Ciara Renee) to Star City and request Oliver/Arrow (Stephen Amell) to keep her hidden until he can find a way to stop Vandal. Hawkman, however, will appear and fly off with Kendra. In the meantime, Harrison will create a serum that will make Barry run faster and request Jay to test the formula.

Entertainment Weekly revealed that Jay (Teddy Sears) will be summoned by Wells (Tom Cavanagh) to S.T.A.R. Labs regarding an important matter. Jay arrived at the venue and found that Wells wants to test a new serum on him. The formula is supposed to make Flash go faster, which will hopefully help him battle and defeat Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd) successfully. Initially, Jay does not wish to be involved in Wells’ experiments, considering the risks involved and the possible permanent adverse effects on his body.

Cartermatt writes that if Jay uses the serum, he might gain his speed back. Barry will also need a lot of extra support to defeat Zoom. Cisco in the meantime is still learning how to properly use his Vibe abilities.

Fans have long been looking forward to a crossover episode between “The Flash” and “Arrow.” WhatCulture reveals that fans are also expecting to know more about King Shark, and whether Barry will finally tell Patty his secret. Fans hope that Firestorm will return and Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) before the end of 2015. More details about Zoom’s identity will also hopefully be unveiled, as well as a second battle between Zoom and Flash.

Episode 6, titled “Enter Zoom,” was the most exciting episode in Season 2 according to several viewers. It showed that Zoom was a very powerful foe and almost killed Flash in their encounter. Flash will need help from more characters like Arrow to finally get the advantage.

“The Flash” Season 2 Episode 8 will air on Dec. 1 on the CW.
