In Season 2 Episode 16 of “The Flash,” a new speedster will cause trouble for Flash (Grant Gustin) and his team. The new character might be Rupture.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Flash” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.

The official episode synopsis states that there is a new speedster in Central City. To release some of the pressure, Barry and the team go for a night out in town. However, they suddenly meet a troublemaking speedster. Iris will be challenged by a task from her new boss (guest star Tone Bell) and will be surprised when their initial conflict suddenly transforms into flirtation.

Armando Ramon/Rupture, Cisco’s (Carlos Valdes) evil brother will appear in a future episode of “The Flash,” writes Comic Book Movie. A few images previously surfaced, showing a mysterious character wearing a purple and red costume that appears like the incarnation of the villain in DC Comics. The character also had a cape and a scythe as a weapon. One photo also showed a person lying on the ground, whom some fans identified as Cisco Ramon.

If he is indeed the new speedster that the group will encounter, Rupture will finally appear on the March 22 episode, titled “Trajectory.” In the comics, Rupture is the brother of Cisco and Dante Ramon. He is also known as the “Hound of Mordet.” So far, the show only featured the two Ramon brothers, Cisco and Dante. Nicholas Gonzalez plays Dante, who was also spotted on the set.

With Earth 2 finally being featured in “The Flash” Season 2, more DC Comic characters can be introduced in new episodes. Caitlyn and Cisco’s evil versions were previously shown on Earth 2. Caitlyn was Killer Frost, while Cisco was Vibe.

Previously, the identity of Zoom was finally revealed. It turned out that the supervillain was actually Hunter Zolomon of Earth 2 or Jay Garrick of Earth 1. It appears that the TV series is putting together the backstory of Cobalt Blue and Zoom into one. Hunter seems to be the twin brother of Jay, or The Flash from Earth 2. Hunter may be aiming to beat the two Jays from both earths and will attempt to get Barry’s speed to return in time and stop his infant self from being surrendered for adoption.

“The Flash” continues on Mar. 22 on The CW in the US and on Foxtel in Australia.
