The next episode of “The Flash” Season 2 will being with Barry Allen being “haunted” by the existence his arch enemy Zoom. In a recent interview, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg talked about two villains Barry will have to face.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kreisberg said that the next few episodes of the show will focus on Barry (Grant Gustin) being “haunted” by the knowledge that Zoom is still out there and can strike at him at any time.

“We’re picking up with Barry being haunted by Zoom in the sense of he knows Zoom is still out there. It’s really eating at him,” Kreisberg said. Meanwhile, Barry will have to face a new villain while he makes plans to take on Zoom.

Kreisberg said that the cast and crew are excited about working on the new villain The Turtle. The executive producer said that while The Turtle is an “amazing adversary,” the main enemy in “The Flash” Season 2 is still Zoom.

“Zoom starts to become the White Whale for Barry, that thing that’s circling out there that’s haunting him, that Barry knows could come across the breach and destroy him at any moment,” he said.

But Barry will have to first deal with the Turtle. Talking about the new villain, the executive producer said that the surprising twist in the show is that Cisco (Carlos Valdes) has been hunting The Turtle throughout the series.

“We love the idea that there was a villain out there that they knew about, but they just haven’t bothered to tell the audience about yet,” the producer said.

In “The Flash Season 2, while Barry continuously strives to become faster to be able to beat Zoom, he will be going up against an enemy who is “literally slowing him down.” The executive producer also teased that the next big fight between Barry and Zoom will not take place on Earth, hinting that he and his team may fight him on Earth 2.
