Recent rumours suggested that Supergirl may appear on Earth-1 as Power Girl. Fans have been speculating whether Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) may appear in an episode of “The Flash” in the near future.

Previously, Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) appeared in “Supergirl,” which compelled fans to believe that the superheroine might also do the same soon.

Andrew Kreisberg, executive producer of both “Supergirl” and “The Flash,” said that there is a possibility that Kara Danvers may be present on Earth-1, although in alien form.

“Any Kara that exists on Earth 1 would also have to have been an alien. Supergirl does not have to travel in the same manner as Barry when he crossed Kara’s dimension. It can’t just be Kara Danvers from Poughkeepsie,” said Kreisberg in a report by Entertainment Weekly.

Considering how Kara is a unique alien on every Earth, it will make more sense to have both Supergirl and Flash visit each other more frequently.

Screen Crush notes Kreisberg as confirming that the character can also exist on Earth-1 as Power Girl, Kara Zor-el’s alternate-universe identity. She might have a different costume, but it is a huge possibility. It is still uncertain whether he meant a different costume from the classic blue and red, or a deviation of the Power Girl costume. Overall, it would be good to have Power Girl exist in The Flash and Arrow’s world, apart and independent from Superman, who notably has not appeared on Earth-1.

Cinema Blend cites Kevin Smith, who is directing a future episode of “The Flash,” in saying that there will expectedly be more crossover episodes between “The Flash” and “Supergirl.” Central City residents may begin to discover Kryptonite in the next episodes.

In the meantime, “Supergirl” is set to air its penultimate episode for Season 1 on April 11 in the US, where Kara will battle two returning villains. There is a huge potential that the show will be renewed for a second season, although an official announcement has yet to be released.
